We have been rescuing donated, surplus food, which would otherwise have gone to waste, since 1985 and delivering it to community agencies across Toronto. We currently partner with 253 agencies supporting 539 programs, providing enough food for 30,000 meals a day for hungry children, adults and seniors in the city. Reporting to the Development Manager, the Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring exceptional donor cultivation and stewardship. The Development Coordinator engages colleagues across the department and the organization in ongoing efforts to ensure supporters are appreciated, recognized and given opportunities to become more directly engaged with our mission and the impact of their support. Supporting day-to-day development operations to ensure the timely and appropriate cultivation, solicitation, and acknowledgement of all donor segments, this role is focused on both high-touch actions such as thank you calls, notes and letters, as well as on the data coordination necessary to provide excellent stewardship to high volumes of stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of best fundraising practices and the importance of ensuring exceptional donor experiences.
