First Spring Chicken a Success

Our very first Spring Chicken foodraising campaign has been an enormous success. Thanks to Longo’s and their shoppers, we will receive a total of 5,580 Maple Leaf Prime whole chickens to distribute to our agencies.

High protein food, such as chicken, is often in short supply, especially in the spring when our food donations tend to decrease. This amazing initiative will go a long way to supplement the meals served at our recipient agencies with high quality, protein-rich food.

Thank you once again to Longo’s for partnering with us to help bring nutritious food to those in need in our city. Thank you, also, to each and every Longo’s customer who bought a specially priced Maple Leaf Prime whole chicken or donated two dollars at the cash register. Your contribution will go a long way to ensure that our agencies can provide hearty meals for the clients they serve.
