Our Communications Department functions as an in-house agency to increase awareness of Second Harvest’s food rescue excellence and thought leadership, while supporting organizational goals to increase and retain funders, food donors, sponsors, supporters, and volunteers.
The Donor Communications Manager works closely with the Development Department and other organization stakeholders to develop integrated print and web-based campaigns to retain and acquire donors, and support overall communication efforts, such event promotion, marketing, and community engagement. Work will encompass managing multiple print campaigns annually, monthly e-news, as well as maximizing digital and other relevant channels for various other communications projects, as assigned.
THE RIGHT FIT
You love to write and have experience producing direct marketing. You know the difference between communicating specifically for donor engagement vs. mission marketing and are comfortable working in each area. You have experience working guiding print production and are equally adept at hands-on digital delivery. You love working collaboratively to maximize creativity, while also being completely capable of producing multiple projects independently, as this is a hands-on role without direct reports.
