2021 CAMPAIGN RESULTS

As a result of the pandemic, 1 in 7 Canadians is now struggling to feed themselves and their families – an increase of more than 5 million people. The pandemic has also cancelled our biggest fundraiser, Toronto Taste, two years in a row – we are supporting more frontline food programs and working to get food to people in need with fewer funds.
To make sure support for communities stayed as strong as ever, we launched the Feeding the Need campaign.
The Daniels Corporation, our long-time Toronto Taste presenting sponsor, continued their incredible support by matching donations to our Feeding the Need campaign with $250,000 in support.
From March 1 to March 31, we asked all past attendees of Toronto Taste to donate what they would have spent on tickets this year and donate to our Feeding the Need campaign. And since we’re now providing support to non-profits across Canada, we spread the word about Feeding the Need coast to coast. Special thanks to the incredible support of advertising from our amazing media partners that helped us get the word out listed below.
Our goal was to raise funds to provide enough food for one million meals. And thanks to supporters like you, we did it – and more!
Thanks to your generosity, Feeding the Need raised $519,330.36 which will enable us to provide enough food for 1,038,660 meals!
On behalf of the more than 2,300 non-profits coast to coast who rely on Second Harvest to help feed their communities, thank you.
