Jeahnnylyn Pia Romero
Jeahnnylyn is the third child of four girls. She was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to Canada when she was 10 years old. A graduate from George Brown’s Culinary Management program, Jeahnnylyn’s very first job was as a line cook at Joey’s Eaton Centre.
Eventually realizing that she wanted to focus more in seasonal cooking, she started staging at Local Kitchen and Wine Bar, where she eventually worked as sous chef for two years, where she gathered inspiration by working with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Shortly after, joining the team at Enoteca Sociale for one year, learning all about beautifully cooking pasta.
Jeahnnylyn is currently cooking at Ufficio Restaurant. She is very passionate about food and driven to work hard and hustle to put good food on a plate. Always challenging and pushing her limits to become better and better and she is excited to be taking part in Toronto Taste 2018’s Chef Challenge!
