Your time, talent and commitment mean so much
Our community of volunteers show their commitment by supporting Second Harvest’s food rescue efforts. Our volunteers share their time, talent, and experience to make a difference. Join one of the most exciting and rewarding volunteer programs in Canada!
At Second Harvest, the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, communities and supporters are of paramount importance. Considering the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and as part of our continued efforts to maintain a safe workplace, Second Harvest requires that all employees and regular/long-term, onsite volunteers be fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by Health Canada. Volunteers who do not wish to be vaccinated, are medically ineligible and/or have chosen not to be vaccinated due to religious beliefs can still volunteer in a virtual capacity, at offsite events or for one-off placements. Virtual and event opportunities are posed to all prospective volunteers based on organizational needs. In addition to our Vaccination Policy that is provided during volunteer onboarding, volunteers must comply with all Second Harvest health and safety protocols while performing volunteer duties and representing Second Harvest. Do not volunteer if you have COVID-19 symptoms, been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, or travelled without observing a quarantine period, if required by the Government of Canada.
