Warehouse Food Sort

Group Food Sort

Food sorts are a unique opportunity for groups to help coordinate Second Harvest food donations for delivery to our community partners. Your team will have the opportunity to learn about the impact of community involvement while ensuring our partners receive their vital donations. Group food sorts are reserved for companies that support our work through a minimum contribution of $1,000 per food sort shift.

Shifts: Tuesdays - Thursdays 9:30am - 11:30am or 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Requirements: 5-25 people per shift, 16+ years of age

Location: Second Harvest Warehouse 120 The East Mall, Etobicoke

Community and Special Events

Help champion the work we do by representing us at a variety of community events. Promote Second Harvest and food rescue
awareness, assist with fundraising by collecting donations, selling tickets, or promoting bidding at silent auction tables. Training is provided.

Location: Various locations across GTA

Feeding our future

Feeding Our Future

For 8 weeks across July and August, volunteers will prepare lunches for children and youth in summer camps located in neighbourhoods across the GTA facing food insecurity.  

Shifts: Monday 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.*, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

*Tuesdays following a long weekend  

Requirements: 16+ years of age 

Location: Second Harvest Warehouse 120 The East Mall, Etobicoke

Truck Pull Challenge

The Truck Pull Challenge pits corporate teams against each other in a feat of strength – pulling a Second Harvest truck across the square. Volunteers are needed in September for a variety of roles.
