Spring Chicken

April 5 – April 18 at Longo's Stores across the GTA

Spring Chicken is a food-raising campaign where Longo’s customers are asked to donate chicken to Second Harvest. 

Every year during the spring months, Second Harvest’s food donations drop significantly.  The need for food, especially protein, is higher than ever at this time. Spring Chicken was developed to address this need. 

There are several ways customers can donate to the Spring Chicken campaign.

In-store: 

• Customers purchase a Maple Leaf Prime whole chicken - on special - in a single pack or a double pack. Longo’s will donate $2 to Second Harvest for every pack sold.  

• Customers donate $2 at the cash register. 

Online:

• Customers can purchase Maple Leaf Prime whole chicken via Grocery Gateway (Longo’s online delivery service), and Longo’s will donate $2 for every pack sold.

All funds raised will go towards purchasing chicken, at cost, from Longo's or its vendors.
