Gluten Free Expo - Food Collection Sunday May 4th, 2014
Volunteers are needed to help collect food from the vendors for Second Harvest. Volunteers will also help with sorting, packaging and loading the food onto our truck.

Spring Chicken May 24th-29th, 2014
Volunteers will greet customers and help promote donating to Second Harvest through vouchers at the cash registers.
Shifts: Weekdays 4:30pm-6:30pm; Saturday-Sunday 11:30am-1:30pm & 1:30pm-3:30pm
Toronto Taste Sunday June 8th, 2014
Over 400 volunteers are needed on the weekend of the event for set-up, tear down, silent auction, crowd control, food serving and to help with the event execution in various capacities.
Corus Quay & Sugar Beach
Shifts: Various shifts throughout the weekend, Saturday June 7th & Sunday June 8th
Volunteers in this position help our drivers make pick-ups from our food donors by loading donated food onto the trucks, as well as deliver food to community agencies in Toronto.
Shifts: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m. (All shifts start and end at Second Harvest.)
Requirements: Minimum of 16 years of age and must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of a 3-month placement with 2-3 shifts per month.
Warehouse assistants help to sort and pack donated food into boxes, helping to get it ready to go out to our agencies. Volunteers also help to sweep and clean the warehouse.
Shifts: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Requirements: Minimum of 16 years of age and must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of a 3-month placement with 1 shift per week.
