St. Lawrence Market Drivers
Volunteer drivers are needed to help collect food from the market vendors and deliver to two neighbouring agencies. Volunteers can expect to commit to 1-2 Saturdays per month and use their own vehicles. Training & a buddy ride will be provided.
Shift: approximately 3:30pm-5:30pm

Food Collection Crew - Evergreen Brickworks
Volunteers are needed to help collect food from the farmers market vendors and create awareness around Second Harvest food rescue. Volunteers can expect to commit to 1-2 Saturdays per month from July-November. Training will be provided.

Feeding Our Future

Volunteers make hundreds of delicious nutritious lunches, which Second Harvest delivers to about a dozen community centres in Toronto, thus ensuring that children who get subsidized lunches during the school year will also be receiving at least one nutritious meal a day while attending summer camp.
- Mondays 7:30am-10:00am & 10:00am-1:00pm, Tuesdays-Thursdays 10:00am-2:00pm
We are seeking a Communications Assistant to support the Communications department in delivering Second Harvest’s message to a range of audiences.
We're looking for strong writers and/ or strong graphic design skills .
Commitment: 7 to 21 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00-5:00 p.m.), flexible

Volunteers in this position help our drivers make pick-ups from our food donors by loading donated food onto the trucks, as well as deliver food to community agencies in Toronto.
Shifts: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m. (All shifts start and end at Second Harvest.)
Requirements: Minimum of 16 years of age and must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of a 3-month placement with 2-3 shifts per month.
Warehouse assistants help to sort and pack donated food into boxes, helping to get it ready to go out to our agencies. Volunteers also help to sweep and clean the warehouse.
Shifts: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Requirements: Minimum of 16 years of age and must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Where: Second Harvest, 1450 Lodestar Rd., Toronto
Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 1 shift per week.
