COVID-19 UPDATE: Second Harvest has taken measures to ensure the health and safety of our employees, volunteers, guests and community partners.  Due to COVID-19 and Public Health guidance about physical distancing, we have a limited number of in-person volunteer opportunities at this time. We are still accepting new volunteer applications which will allow you to stay informed on when more volunteer opportunities become available.

Squash Hunger (formerly Turkey Drive)

Teams of 4 – 6 volunteers are stationed at Loblaws locations across Toronto to ask customers to purchase a turkey, ham or plant-based protein and donate it to Second Harvest. The food raised in store will be distributed, through our agencies, to people experiencing food insecurity during the holiday season. This is a great way to give back during the holiday season!
